Anshumaan Pushkar Reveals He Was Initially Approached For Another Role Before Playing Babloo In Satrangi – Badle Ka Khel

Ever since Satrangi – Badle Ka Khel premiered on Hindi ZEE5, audiences have particularly been drawn to the intensity and emotional depth brought alive by its lead cast. While the show dives into a gritty world of revenge, power struggles, and relationships set against the backdrop of rural Uttar Pradesh, it is the performances of actors like Anshumaan Pushkar, Mahvash, and Kumud Mishra that have become one of the biggest talking points among viewers. In particular, Anshumaan’s portrayal of Babloo has been appreciated for bringing both vulnerability and intensity to the character.

Speaking about how he came on board for the role, Anshumaan revealed that he was initially approached for a different character altogether, but things eventually worked out in his favour. Sharing why Babloo instantly connected with him, the actor said, “Earlier, I was called for another character, but at that time, I couldn’t fully understand that character in the context of the story. A few days later, I got to know that Babloo’s role was being recast, and then I was approached for this character. Honestly, I already felt connected to Babloo when I first read the story and even wondered why I wasn’t considered for this role initially.

Luckily, when I came back to the project, it was for Babloo. I asked for the entire script and read it completely, and after that, there was no question of saying no. I was told that this character is like a 90’s hero – someone who has every shade and gives an actor the opportunity to explore all kinds of emotions and moments on screen. Babloo was exactly that kind of character for me, so there was no reason to refuse it.”

As viewers continue to praise the emotional depth and intensity of the series, Satrangi – Badle Ka Khel is now streaming exclusively on ZEE5.
